The Patterson Project
The Patterson project was the refurbishment and alteration of an old rectory and out farm building’s into Holiday accommodation.
This project has now achieved 4 Star holiday accommodation rating. The project was developed and delivered under turnkey.
I undertook to do a Barn Conversion unit, 2 holiday cottages and appointed A&H Nicholson Ltd to start and complete the project. The holiday cottages passed with flying colours before their completion date. I would highly recommend both Andrew and Harold as professional builders and craftsmen.
The Hughes Project
The extension to the rear of the Hughes residence provides a much-needed larger family area and a large bedroom above. This project was constructed in less than 12 weeks.
A&H Nicholson are an excellent team of builders who planned and completed a fabulous extension to our home that caters perfectly for our growing family.
The Mackintosh Project
The Mackintosh project was designed by the Boyd Partnership, for holiday use, but yet suitable as a small home if required.
The design was such, that great emphasis was put on the conservation of energy and power.
This small chalet type house is a fine example of what can be achieved with a strict budget and planning scheme and fits perfectly to meet planning building control requirements.
A&H Nicholson built Rose cottage to a high standard of workmanship. They were reliable and highly efficient. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.
The Forsythe Project
The Forsthye project had a few challenges, the half round spiral staircase and the addition of air source systems for heating and domestic hot water give a few areas for thought.
Would the stairs fit and conform to regulations and would the heating and hot water systems perform to expectations? The staircase met all criteria and the heating system functioned extremely well. Probably the biggest challenge was constructing during the winter of 2009/2010, who can forget that!
A&H Nicholson are very reliable and have a great team who are always up for a challenge! No request is ever a problem and they seek perfection in all they do.
The Hunter Project
The Hunter project had several challenges.
Heating and hot water with limited space and excess, a stair case was constructed on the outside of the building and a combi boiler installed below the stair void this provides both instant heat and hot water without the use of a hot water storage tank.
A&H Nicholson are builders whose work is of exceptional standard, they use initiative and experience to guide you through the planning and building stages.
They are very trustworthy to have in your home
and very good value for money without compromising on quality.
The Prall Project
This is a small garden sunroom.
(Traditional block work structure with a tiled roof to match existing house with a solid fuel stove for heating purposes) with a garden pond feature and large brick paved area.
Richard and Margret Prall would highly recommend
A&H Nicholson, their work is of a very high standard.
